Project: NYE Al Maryah Island - Abu Dhabi

In order to meet the viewing requirements for those attending the NYE celebrations at Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi, TerraTech supplied two floating pontoon structures to support the giant LED screens that were placed in the bay, directly in front of the main stage. The screens were installed in a nearby marina, and moved into position the day before the show. This allowed the technicians to test the screens before the event went live on the 31st.

With thousands of people attending, the sight lines to the stage were awkward due to the shape of the event space. However with the screens in position, everyone was assured a view of the performing artists. As a finale, the fireworks display was directly behind and above our structures, creating an amazing backdrop to the start of 2017.
